Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Castle Point Learning Systems Corporation on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in connection with the GradariusTM Freeform Calculus Learning Platform on our website http://gradarius.com and the related services, features, content, applications, and products we offer.

Castle Point is committed to protecting the privacy of those who are concerned about how their Personally Identifiable Information is being used in connection with Gradarius. By using Gradarius or creating an account, you agree to the use, disclosure, and procedures outlined in this Privacy Policy. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect a limited amount of Personally Identifiable Information, such as your name and email address, when you create an account with Gradarius. Like most online services, Gradarius also collects and stores other information that your computer or mobile device provides to us, such as the type of computer or mobile device you use and IP Address, as well as information associated with the IP address.

How Do We Collect Information?

We collect information about you when you create a profile using the Gradarius online registration process. As part of this registration process, we ask for your name and email. Gradarius also incorporates cookies, small files that may be placed on your computer when you visit a website or online service. Gradarius uses cookies to help identify and track your usage of the Platform and to make it easier to deliver a personalized experience. You can easily refuse our cookies by adjusting the preferences in your browser. However, this may prevent you from enjoying all Gradarius functions. If you contact us in person, by phone, email, or by some other means, we may keep a record of your contact information and correspondence for later reference to help improve Gradarius and our service to you.

How Do We Use Personally Identifiable Information We Gather?

We primarily use the information we collect from you to help us make the site more useful for you. We do not rent, trade, or sell your Personally Identifiable Information.

We may use your Personally Identifiable Information to maintain and support Gradarius or other products and services we offer to deliver to you information that you request; to respond to correspondence that we may receive from you; to contact you when necessary or requested; subject to any school policy concerning direct contacts with the students; or to prevent, detect and investigate security breaches or potentially illegal or prohibited activities.

We reserve the right to access, read, preserve and disclose any information that we reasonably believe is necessary to comply with the law or a court order; cooperate with law enforcement; enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of Gradarius, our employees, our users or others.

What Personal Information Can You Access or Change?

If you are a student and a registered user of Gradarius, you can change your account information by submitting your request to your instructor. If you are an instructor, you may request a change in personal information by contacting Gradarius support at support@gradarius.com. You may need to supply certain information to enable us to verify that you have the authority to modify this information. If you need to change passwords, you can do so using the login screen.

Online Tracking

We do not collect personal information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services. Therefore, “do not track” signals transmitted from web browsers do not apply to our site, and we do not alter any of our data collection and use practices upon receipt of such a signal.

Data Security

We take reasonable security measures (physical, electronic, and procedural) to help keep your personal information safe. We maintain associated data with technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect against the loss, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, modification, and improper disclosure. If you have any questions or concerns about the security of your interaction with us (if, for example, you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), you can contact us at privacy@ gradarius.com.

Data Retention

Even if you disable your account or change your Personally Identifiable Information, we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping. There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed so that Gradarius can continue to function properly or because it would be impractical to delete it.

Children

We do not intend for any portion of Gradarius to be accessed or used by children under the age of thirteen. If you are under 13 years old, please do not use or access Gradarius. We do not intend to collect information about children under the age of 13. If we later obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13 years of age, we will take steps to remove that user’s information from our systems. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 whom you believe has disclosed personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@gradarius.com so that we may delete and remove the child’s information from our systems.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Schools or programs that use the Gradarius platform have certain obligations when it comes to safeguarding information involving students under The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). To the extent that an educational institution discloses to us information protected by FERPA, we will take reasonable steps to protect the disclosed information and comply with FERPA.

Notice to California users: We do not share any personal information with third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If this practice changes, we will notify you by adding changes to our Privacy Policy and posting our new policy on our site.

Notice to International Users: Gradarius is hosted in the United States. If you are accessing Gradarius from outside the United States, please be advised that through your continued use of Gradarius, which is governed by U.S. law and this Privacy Policy, you are transferring your personal information to the United States and you consent to that transfer. The United States may not have the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for compliance with any data protection or privacy obligations in your jurisdiction when you use the Platform or provide us with Personal Information. Regardless of where we transfer your information, we still protect your information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

We Reserve the Right to Update and Revise This Privacy Policy at Any Time

We occasionally review this Privacy Policy to make sure it complies with applicable laws and conforms to changes in our business. We may need to update this Privacy Policy, and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If we revise this Privacy Policy, we will do our best to notify you as required by law and will update the “Effective Date” at the bottom of this page so that you can tell if it has changed since your last visit. Please review this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure that you are aware of its terms. Any change to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Platform. Any use of Gradarius after an amendment to our Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance to the revised or amended agreement.
